Mike Maimone is a pianist, singer/songwriter, producer, and author whose work is rooted in resilience, vulnerability, and unapologetic authenticity. Raised in Ashtabula, Ohio, he left a career in accounting after a near-death experience pushed him to pursue music full-time. His songwriting blends raw storytelling with a dynamic performance style that has drawn comparisons to Leon Russell, Tom Waits, Randy Newman, and Dr. John.

After years fronting the acclaimed Chicago indie trio Mutts, Maimone relocated to Nashville to reignite his solo career. Through personal and professional setbacks—including serious health challenges, the loss of his husband Howard Bragman, and the isolation of the pandemic—he continued creating deeply personal work, channeling grief into music, film, and writing. His memoir and companion album, Guess What? I Love You, stand as a powerful reflection on love, loss, and healing.

A prolific touring artist for more than two decades, Maimone has performed over 100 shows a year, appearing at legendary venues and festivals including Lollapalooza, Riot Fest, and The Fillmore. He has shared stages with artists such as Blink-182, Weezer, OK Go, and Imagine Dragons, while his music has also appeared in pop culture, including HBO Max and Wrigley Field.
